United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo, in partnership with NGO Education Code and the Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC), launched a series of impactful workshops aimed at strengthening environmental justice and fostering cross-community collaboration across Mitrovicë/a, Leposaviq/Leposavić, Zubin Potok, and Zveqan/Zvečan.

Under the umbrella of the #EnvironmentalJustice campaign, these advocacy sessions brought together a diverse group of participants, including youth, local civil society representatives, women activists, environmental experts, volunteers, and media. Discussions focused on understanding legal frameworks related to environmental rights, addressing local ecological challenges, and formulating community-based solutions to promote sustainability.

From interactive presentations and legal insights to open-floor exchanges and joint planning, the sessions created a platform for inclusive dialogue and empowered community members to act as agents of change. Through the engagement of multiple ethnic groups, the initiative fostered mutual understanding, cooperation, and a shared vision for a healthier and greener future.

This initiative is part of the broader UNDP project “Intercommunity Dialogue in Kosovo,” supported by generous contributions from Luxembourg, the Republic of Korea, Norway, and Sweden through the UNDP Funding Windows.
